Two kilometres of DSO-grade iron at surface, a national highway running through it and Rio Tinto operating less than 15km away.
Arrow Minerals (ASX:AMD) has agreed to acquire a 70% stake in a new West Pilbara iron ore project targeting Robe-style Channel Iron Deposits.
For a company already chasing copper next door at Yarraloola, the Pilbara story just got broader.
Iron ore in the right neighbourhood
The initial tenement contains more than 2km of mapped iron mineralisation at surface, across widths exceeding 250m.
Importantly, it sits less than 15km from the 65Mtpa Robe River Joint Venture operations and beside permits associated with the Robe Mesa project acquired by the JV in 2025.
Even better for access, the North West Coastal Highway cuts straight across the target.
Arrow Minerals has also secured a 12-month option over two additional tenement applications, potentially taking the wider package to 319km².

Copper comes along for the ride
The acquisition isn’t only about iron.
The new ground borders Arrow’s Yarraloola Copper Project and could extend prospective stratigraphy southeast from the Ava copper-gold VMS target.
That follows Arrow’s recent work at Yarraloola, where historical core revealed an intercept of 32.7m @ 0.7% Cu, 0.3% Pb, 16.3g/t Ag and 0.4% Zn, without historical gold analysis.
Managing Director David Flanagan said the combination of DSO potential and nearby infrastructure made the opportunity particularly attractive.
More than one commodity
Arrow is now building exposure across three very different development stories.
In Guinea, Niagara already hosts a maiden 185Mt bauxite resource and is moving through a Scoping Study for a potential 3–4Mtpa export operation.
In WA, Yarraloola is moving towards modern RC drilling for copper-gold.
Now iron ore has joined the mix.
What’s next
Arrow Minerals plans to drill the new iron ore target as soon as practical, with those results helping determine whether it exercises the option over the additional ground.
At Yarraloola, further geophysics and historical core analysis come before RC drilling.
The Pilbara acquisition started as an iron ore opportunity, it may end up strengthening the copper story too.
