Aruma turns Tillex from deposit into district

Aruma has added more ground around Tillex just as the known high-grade copper-silver system keeps stretching...

Aruma Resources (ASX:AAJ) is widening the Tillex story on two fronts.

Drilling continues to expand the shallow high-grade copper-silver system, while a second strategic acquisition has pushed the project footprint out to around 28.4km² in Ontario’s Tier-1 Timmins district.

The latest deal adds another 32 contiguous claims covering roughly 9.8km², immediately beside the existing project.

The new ground is interpreted to extend the same geological and structural trends Aruma is already drilling.

Tillex keeps getting bigger

Phase 2 drilling is still underway, with around 60% of the program yet to be completed.

Early results have already shown continuity and expansion of the system, while the broader presentation points to the high-grade footprint having doubled to over 200m of strike.

Standout Phase 1 results included:

  • 89m @ 2.04% Cu and 12.31g/t Ag from 38.8m
  • 87m @ 1.99% Cu and 12.63g/t Ag from 30m
  • 59m @ 1.91% Cu and 8.80g/t Ag from 38m

Phase 2 drilling has continued to extend the system laterally and along strike.

The new ground is not random acreage

The eastern claims are interpreted to carry the continuation of the existing Tillex high-grade copper-silver trend.

The western claims add a separate gold angle, with Aruma highlighting interpreted syenite contacts, folded mafic volcanics and structural corridors considered favourable for mineralisation in the Timmins district.

That gives the acquisition a more targeted rationale than simply making the map bigger.

Aruma is trying to lock up the geological extensions before it finishes defining the system already in hand.

A 2.4km trend to work with

The expanded project now covers around 28.4km² and extends the prospective Tillex Trend to roughly 2.4km.

Much of that ground remains lightly explored.

Aruma plans field reconnaissance, sampling, airborne magnetics and EM work across the new claims to build the next generation of drill targets.

Timmins does some of the heavy lifting

Tillex also sits in one of the better mining addresses available.

The project is around 54km east of Timmins and close to established processing, roads, power, labour and services.

That does not prove a mine, but it means Aruma is testing a growing copper-silver system in a district where infrastructure and mining capability already exist.

What comes next

The immediate priorities remain clear.

Complete Phase 2 drilling, release the pending assays, start systematic exploration across the newly acquired ground and continue building toward a maiden JORC Mineral Resource.

Aruma started 2026 with a copper project.

It is finishing the year looking increasingly like it owns a district.
