Aventine Resources takes aim at Paterson’s next big discovery

Aventine Resources are set to enter the market drill-ready in one of Australia’s hottest gold districts.

Aventine Resources is preparing to enter the ASX with one clear ambition. To find the next major gold-copper system in Western Australia’s Paterson Province.

The explorer is seeking to raise between $15M and $20M at $0.20 per share, giving it the firepower to advance a 1,780km² portfolio surrounded by some of Australia’s most significant discoveries.

Built in elephant country

Aventine’s flagship ground sits less than 80km from Greatland Resources’ Telfer and Havieron assets, and close to Antipa Minerals’ Minyari Dome.

That address matters.

The Paterson Province already hosts multi-million-ounce gold systems, established infrastructure and an active group of major explorers. Aventine enters with five core Paterson tenements, a larger Paterson South package, the Mt Cecelia Project and additional ground in the East Pilbara.

Greatland is also set to emerge as a cornerstone shareholder, offering strategic alignment with one of the region’s dominant operators.

Targets ready to test

This is far from a blank-sheet exploration story.

At Mt Cecelia, historical drilling returned:

  • 22m @ 0.93g/t Au within 56m @ 0.55g/t Au
  • 24m @ 0.95g/t Au within 82m @ 0.51g/t Au

The mineralised zone remains open at depth and along strike, with existing cleared pads providing a straightforward pathway back to drilling.

Black Hills brings another near-term opportunity. Historical results include 13m @ 2.01g/t Au and 12m @ 1.38g/t Au, while new soil geochemistry has expanded the target footprint around a Telfer-style structural setting.

A proven team behind the portfolio

Backing the company is a leadership team with a track record of making major discoveries and advancing exploration success.

Technical Director Allan Kneeshaw brings over 30 years of exploration experience and was a key member of the team behind the discovery of the 11Moz Hemi Gold Deposit at De Grey Mining. His career has also included senior exploration roles with Anglo American, AngloGold Ashanti, Acacia Resources and MIM Exploration, spanning multiple commodities and geological settings.

Exploration Manager Rodney King adds further technical depth, having most recently served as Principal Geologist at Northern Star Resources following its acquisition of De Grey Mining, where he was Exploration Manager. His experience also includes senior technical roles at Digirock and more than a decade with global mining group Teck Resources.

Together, the pair bring proven discovery credentials and the technical expertise to systematically unlock the exploration potential across Aventine’s growing Paterson portfolio.

IPO funds go straight into the ground

The proposed raise is heavily weighted towards exploration, with up to $16.7M earmarked across the first two years under the maximum subscription scenario.

Initial work is expected to include heritage surveys, geophysical modelling, soil sampling and drilling across Mt Cecelia, Black Hills and the broader Paterson portfolio.

The offer is scheduled to close on 3 September 2026, with ASX trading targeted for 21 September 2026 under the reserved code ARE.

What investors should watch

The pitch is simple. A proven mining address, drill-ready targets, Greatland alignment and a balance sheet built for exploration.

Now comes the hard part, turning a strong postcode into a discovery.

Aventine will arrive with plenty of targets and no shortage of ambition. The first drill results will show whether this new Paterson contender can make its mark.
