Brightstar Resources may have just unlocked a new chapter at its Sandstone Gold Project.
Deep drilling at the Two Mile Hill-Shillington deposit has intersected an extraordinary 305.4m at 1.82g/t gold, while revealing the host tonalite intrusion is more than three times thicker than previously interpreted.
A bigger system emerges
The standout hole, TMHRCD26020, ended in mineralised tonalite after intersecting a broad zone of visible gold-bearing mineralisation.
The result included:
- 305.4m @ 1.82g/t Au from 351.9m
- Including 17.5m @ 9.68g/t Au, featuring 1.1m @ 103g/t Au
- 13.4m @ 8.59g/t Au
- 34.6m @ 4.11g/t Au, including 1.5m @ 46.7g/t Au
The hole never exited the tonalite, with drilling stopping only after the rig ran out of rods.
That has pushed the interpreted width of the intrusion from around 60 metres to over 180 metres, significantly increasing the potential size of the mineralised system.

High grades continue
The deeper success wasn’t an isolated result.
Infill drilling also returned broad zones of strong mineralisation, including:
- 205m @ 2.67g/t Au, including 15m @ 18.5g/t Au and 1m @ 265g/t Au
- 197.7m @ 1.14g/t Au
- 116.6m @ 1.74g/t Au
- 185.7m @ 1.03g/t Au
Brightstar also intersected exceptional grades outside the tonalite, including 2.8m @ 74.1g/t Au within the adjacent BIF sequence.

Bigger resource potential
Two Mile Hill-Shillington already hosts a 731,000-ounce Mineral Resource within Brightstar’s broader 2.9Moz Sandstone Gold Project.
The latest drilling suggests the host intrusion could be substantially larger than previously thought, opening the door to further resource growth ahead of an updated Mineral Resource Estimate later this year.
Managing Director Alex Rovira said the new geological interpretation could materially increase the scale potential of the deposit.
What’s next?
Four rigs remain active across Sandstone as Brightstar continues drilling.
Additional diamond drilling is set to begin this month, while an underground pre-feasibility study at Two Mile Hill is underway. Investors will now be watching for further extensional drilling results and the updated Mineral Resource before year-end.
