ClearVue and Helios update.

ASX listed ClearVue (CPV) announced another key milestone today.

In partnership with Helios, the company has secured IEC certification for its new metal-backed solar panels, meeting IEC 61730 (2023) and IEC 61215 (2021) standards, the global benchmark for safety, durability and performance in photovoltaic modules.

The ClearVue-Helios rooftop and car park solutions are doing things differently. By integrating metal backplates instead of traditional materials, these panels create a weatherproof barrier that sits above existing roofing, extending roof life while reducing thermal transmission.

There’s also a clear edge on safety and resilience. The panels achieve top-tier fire safety classification, while delivering stronger wind load resistance and improved performance in extreme conditions like typhoons, areas where standard rooftop PV can fall short.

Functionality hasn’t been overlooked either. The steel-backed option is trafficable, making maintenance easier, while an aluminum-backed alternative offers a lightweight solution for buildings that can’t handle conventional solar loads.

Next step: Clean Energy Council (CEC) certification for the Australian market.
