GreenTech getting to work in the West Pilbara

The drills are officially turning as GreenTech launches an 8,300m drilling campaign across its Whundo Cu-Au & Munni Munni PGE projects

GreenTech Metals has kicked off an 8,300m drilling campaign across its Whundo copper-gold project and Munni Munni PGE project, marking the start of a busy exploration program aimed at growing resources and unlocking new discoveries in WA’s West Pilbara.

The campaign combines 4,750m of reverse circulation drilling with 3,560m of diamond drilling, with a second rig expected to join the program later this month.

Whundo first, Munni to follow

Initial drilling is focused on extending high-grade copper-gold mineralisation at Whundo while collecting larger-diameter core for metallurgical testwork.

The metallurgical program is designed to support the inclusion of gold and silver recoveries in a future updated Mineral Resource Estimate, potentially adding further value to the project.

At Munni Munni, drilling has begun from existing approved drill pads while GreenTech prepares for an eight-day heritage survey starting on 10 August, to unlock additional targets across the broader mineralised system.

Plenty of upside still to test

The upcoming heritage survey will open access to new drill locations across Munni Munni’s mineralised footprint, including several high-priority basal zone targets identified through ongoing geophysical work.

By staggering activity across both projects, GreenTech expects to keep rigs operating continuously while expanding its exploration footprint throughout the program.

Management said the latest planning work has highlighted additional upside across its West Pilbara portfolio, with multiple opportunities expected to be tested over the coming months.

What’s next?

Investors will be watching for drilling updates from Whundo as the first assays begin to arrive, while completion of the August heritage survey is expected to pave the way for expanded drilling at Munni Munni.
