White Cliff Minerals (ASX:WCN) has secured an $8.77M strategic investment from Hancock Prospecting, giving one of Australia’s largest private companies a 13.5% stake in the explorer.
The investment will fund an accelerated drilling push across the Rae Copper Project in Nunavut.
For White Cliff, this is not just a capital raise, it’s third-party validation from a heavyweight.
Hancock steps in
Hancock will subscribe for 515.8M shares at 1.7 cents each, subject to shareholder approval.
The price matches White Cliff’s previous closing price, meaning the deal comes without the usual placement discount.
Hancock is not buying cheap paper, it is backing the story at market.
Rae gets more firepower
The cash will go straight into expanding the copper hunt.
Danvers 1 will be pushed toward an Exploration Target and maiden Resource.
Danvers 2 and 3 will get step-out drilling to test scale and continuity.
Sediment-hosted copper targets will be advanced with upcoming ultra-high-resolution airborne geophysics, while regional lookalikes at Thor, Rocket, Vision and Stark will also move up the priority list.
Downhole EM will also be mobilised to sharpen drill targeting.

The copper case is getting harder to ignore
White Cliff has already delivered some serious numbers at Danvers.
Historical and recent drilling has returned results including 175m at 2.5% copper and 90m at 4% copper.
Step-outs at Danvers 2 and 3 have also returned high-grade hits, while sediment-hosted copper has been confirmed across a broader district-scale system.
The opportunity is still early, but it is getting bigger.
Why the timing matters
Copper is trading around record highs and the search for new large-scale supply is intensifying.
White Cliff now has more capital to test whether Rae can become one of those bigger discoveries.
More importantly, it has a strategic investor willing to fund that question.
What comes next
Shareholder approval is the immediate step.
Then the real work begins.
More drilling, more regional testing, more pressure on White Cliff to turn exploration momentum into a defined resource story.
The copper was already getting attention, now Hancock has put money behind it.
