Investigator drills beyond the pit & hits 13,302 g/t silver

The Paris mine plan has a boundary. The mineralisation clearly does not...

Investigator Silver (ASX:IVR) has delivered a standout batch of drilling from the Paris Silver Project in South Australia, with several high-grade intersections sitting outside the current DFS pit optimisation.

The headline result was 4m @ 5,448g/t Ag from 78m at Paris East, including 1m @ 13,302g/t Ag.

Paris North also returned 2m @ 4,211g/t Ag from 111m, including 1m @ 8,120g/t Ag.

The interesting bit is where the silver sits

These are not just more hits inside an already-defined mine plan.

Much of the latest drilling was designed specifically to test growth around the margins of the DFS pit.

That gives Investigator a very clear opportunity. Add more silver inventory around an already advanced project rather than start again somewhere else.

Paris East is already showing shallow high-grade mineralisation beyond the current pit limits, while Paris North is revisiting areas that were previously considered less attractive under a much lower silver price environment.

There may be another system nearby

Investigator has also identified a new silver-bearing epithermal system at Theseus, around 7.5km southeast of Paris.

The interesting twist, the hole was drilled in 2007 for uranium and had never been sampled for silver.

Re-logging and sampling has now confirmed multiple silver-bearing zones, with the historical hole ending while still inside the mineralised system.

What’s next

Investigator plans another roughly 30,000m of drilling at Paris from September.

That program will target infill, expansion and areas around the current mine plan, while follow-up work at Theseus gives the company another discovery angle altogether.

The DFS drew the pit, the drill bit is now trying to make it bigger.
