Mamba Exploration (ASX:M24) has gone from compiling old data to gearing up for one of its busiest exploration periods yet.
The company has raised A$6M, brought New Murchison Gold onto the register, appointed Westgold founder Peter Cook as Strategic Adviser and added a second regional copper opportunity through an earn-in at Poison Hills.
All of that lands just as Mamba prepares a 6,000m maiden RC program at Meeka East.
Copper Hills already has a head start
The immediate copper story sits at Copper Hills and Lady Alma.
Historical drilling has returned 165 copper intersections across 47 holes along a 3km corridor, including 26m @ 1.0% Cu and 23.1m @ 1.1% Cu at Copper Hills, plus 13.4m @ 1.3% Cu and 16.4m @ 1.0% Cu at Lady Alma.
The host unit can be traced for around 3.5km, with only part of that strike tested.
Mineralisation remains open along strike and at depth.
That gives Mamba something many early explorers do not have, a system already proven to carry copper before the next drill program begins.

Meeka East gets the first fresh test
While Copper Hills is being reinterpreted and refined, Meeka East is ready to drill.
Mamba has defined around 20km of interpreted prospective strike from over 1,300 soil samples, with four gold anomalies identified across 140 Foot Well, Lady Maud, New Australian and Bella.
The upcoming program is planned for up to 50 holes and 6,000m, with 140 Foot Well taking the largest share.
First assays could land before year-end.
Another copper front at Poison Hills
Mamba has also added the Poison Hills Project through a staged earn-in that could take its interest to 80%.
The ground adjoins Solstice Minerals’ Nanadie Project and gives Mamba another foothold in the broader regional copper story.
Early selective rock-chip samples from Poison Hills have returned high silver alongside gold, copper and lead, including a peak of 2,906 g/t Ag.
It is early-stage ground, but Mamba now has more than one copper front to work with.
Murchison backing
The A$6M placement also brings regional producer New Murchison Gold (ASX:NMG) in for A$500,000.
The two companies intend to negotiate a technical services arrangement that could give Mamba access to local data, infrastructure, logistics and equipment support.
Peter Cook also joins Peter Schwann on the advisory side, giving Mamba two people with deep Westgold and Murchison experience.
What comes next
The next few months are simple.
Drill Meeka East, sharpen Copper Hills, advance Poison Hills, and turn historical promise into fresh results.
Mamba now has the capital, targets and regional backing, the next job is to put holes into them.
