Narryer Metals (ASX:NYM) has transformed its copper story with an agreement to acquire 100% of the Redhill Project in southern Chile, bringing an existing high-grade Resource, a large Exploration Target and a strategic investment from 29Metals into the fold.
The market has taken notice.
Narryer shares are up over 30% on strong volume this morning as investors digest a transaction that gives the company an immediate copper resource and a much larger growth runway.
4.3Mt already in the ground
Redhill comes with an existing JORC Inferred Resource of 4.3Mt @ 1.7% Cu, 33 g/t Ag and 0.3 g/t Au.
The most advanced area, Cutters Cove, has a history of high-grade copper production and mineralisation that remains open along around 5km of strike.
That gives Narryer a much more advanced starting point than a greenfields exploration play.
The bigger number is 49Mt
The real upside sits beyond the current Resource.
Narryer has outlined an Exploration Target of 16Mt to 49Mt at 1.2% to 2.6% Cu, with gold and silver credits lifting the indicative range to 1.8% to 3.3% CuEq.
The target remains conceptual, but it gives Narryer a clear roadmap.
Grow what is already there, extend the known veins, then test the broader sedimentary-contact style mineralisation that has seen limited exploration.

29Metals is staying in the story
There is another part of the deal that caught the market’s eye.
29Metals will invest A$1M into Narryer at A$0.10 per share, around a 54% premium to the market price before the announcement.
That makes the seller a strategic shareholder in the buyer and keeps 29Metals exposed to any upside Narryer creates at Redhill.
The acquisition consideration itself is 20M Narryer shares, with a further A$1M milestone payment if the project reaches a 12Mt Resource at 2% CuEq or better.
Plenty left to drill
Previous work has already shown that several mineralised zones remain open.
Historic results include 9.72m @ 2.76% Cu and 30 g/t Ag at Franceses, including 3m @ 8.2% Cu and 86 g/t Ag, while Angelica returned 2m @ 5.42% Cu, 84 g/t Ag and 0.8 g/t Au.
Other vein systems remain undrilled or only lightly tested.
That is why Narryer sees a relatively direct path to resource growth.
What comes next
The company plans a staged three-year drill program, beginning with around 7,000m of diamond drilling designed to test an area corresponding to 5Mt to 15Mt of the Exploration Target.
Before that, Narryer will progress drilling approvals, review earlier mine studies and begin fieldwork across priority targets.
The current Resource gives Redhill a base, the Exploration Target gives it scale, and 29Metals putting money into Narryer suggests the seller still wants exposure to what comes next.
That combination is why the market is paying attention.
