Big One remains the flagship, but New Frontier Minerals (ASX:NFM) now has another copper target moving quickly up the queue.
A review of more than 20 prospects across the 977km² NWQ Copper Project has ranked Eldorado second only to Big One, with at least three anomalous copper zones mapped across a 5km north-east trending structural corridor.
Eldorado earns its spot
Surface geochemistry is doing the heavy lifting.
Eldorado South carries a copper-in-soil anomaly over roughly 200m by 500m, while rock chips have returned up to 5,400ppm Cu across a 320m by 600m area.
The target is also interpreted along the Dorman Fault Zone, which extends into neighbouring True North Copper ground where IP has previously been used to identify copper sulphide deposits.
That gives New Frontier a clear reason to move beyond desktop ranking and into field targeting.

Big One still leads
New Frontier is not taking its eye off Big One.
The deposit already hosts 2.1Mt @ 1.1% Cu for 21,886t of contained copper, and the company is continuing to progress its Mining Lease Application through the Queensland approval process.
Chairman Gerrard Hall said the strategy is simple: advance Big One while systematically unlocking the wider NWQ portfolio.

What’s next
Reconnaissance, structural interpretation and potential ground geophysics are planned at Eldorado.
Big One will also get more mapping and sampling ahead of future drilling, while the Mining Lease Application keeps moving through approvals.
New Frontier already had one copper story.
Eldorado just made it two.
