Patriot Resources (ASX:PAT) has expanded its flagship Tassa Silver-Gold Project in Peru, securing the final available strategic tenement directly south of its existing resource.
The newly staked Tassa 5 licence increases the project’s footprint by 50% to 1,800 hectares, extending Patriot’s control along the highly prospective Tassa Fault and opening additional exploration upside beyond its existing 31.4Moz silver equivalent resource.
Why investors should care
Resource growth starts with securing ground.
Tassa 5 sits immediately along strike from the current mineral resource, which remains open in every direction. Historical data indicates the interpreted mineralised system now extends from ~2.9km to 3.1km, providing more room to grow the existing silver-gold inventory.
Just as importantly, Patriot has now secured the final available highly prospective ground immediately adjoining the project.
In the right neighbourhood
Tassa sits within one of Peru’s premier precious metals districts, where major miners including Buenaventura, Teck, Barrick and Fresnillo have all secured surrounding ground.
Peru remains one of the world’s largest silver producers, with well-established mining infrastructure, supportive geology and a long history of precious metals development, making it an attractive destination for new discoveries and resource growth.

Drilling remains the next major catalyst
While the expanded landholding strengthens the long-term exploration story, Patriot continues progressing community engagement with the Tassa and Pachamayo communities ahead of its planned Phase 1 drilling campaign.
The project’s Environmental Impact Declaration (DIA) also remains valid with Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines, clearing another key step towards drilling.
Managing Director Dominic Duggan said the new tenement secures the final highly prospective ground immediately along the trend of a mineral system that remains open in every direction.
What’s next
Patriot will continue geological mapping and sampling across the expanded project while advancing community agreements ahead of Phase 1 drilling. Investors will now be watching for drilling approvals and the first holes targeting extensions to the existing 31.4Moz AgEq resource.
