Riversgold Limited (ASX:RGL) has removed the final objections to the haul road licences for its Northern Zone Gold Project near Kalgoorlie.
Once granted, the licences will give Northern Zone access to the main road network and, from there, third-party processing facilities.
In other words, Riversgold has just cleared a key part of the route between ore in the ground and ore at the mill.
The last road objection is gone
The two Miscellaneous Licences, L25/75 and L25/77, cover the haul road corridor outside the main mining lease.
All objections have now been resolved, allowing the applications to progress toward formal grant.
That removes what Riversgold describes as the last regulatory impediment to physically hauling ore from Northern Zone.

The approvals list is getting shorter
The next major step is the Mine Development and Closure Proposal, which remains on track for submission later this month.
Riversgold has also lodged its Native Vegetation Clearing Permit application.
That leaves three key approvals in focus before mining can begin.
The haul road licences, the vegetation clearing permit, and the MDCP.
The list is getting shorter.
Funding is already lined up
Northern Zone is 80% owned by Riversgold and 20% by Oracle Power.
Development is set to be fully funded by Mega Resources under the existing mining and co-operation agreement.
What comes next
The haul road licences now move toward grant.
The MDCP is due this month.
Mine planning and scheduling are being finalised with Mega Resources.
Northern Zone is not at production yet, but one of the most practical questions has now been answered.
