Titan Minerals (ASX:TTM) has hit 33.5m @ 6.6g/t Au and 55.5g/t Ag from 236.7m at Cerro Verde, outside the current Dynasty resource.
More importantly, the hit has exposed a new style of shear-hosted mineralisation that previous drilling may have largely missed.
The hit is big. The orientation may be bigger.
The new zone sits within a northwest-trending structural corridor roughly 1.6km by 800m.
Titan believes much of the historic drilling ran sub-parallel to the structure, meaning the shear-hosted mineralisation could have slipped between the holes.
That changes the exploration question. Instead of simply extending known veins, Titan can now target repetitions and lateral extensions of a potentially more pervasive mineralised system.
CEO Melanie Leighton said the result marks a breakthrough in understanding the mineralisation controls at Dynasty.

Drilling is turning around
Titan is redesigning follow-up holes to cut across the structures at a better angle.
That drilling is expected to start within a fortnight, while additional targets at Brecha-Comanche and Kaliman are also lined up for testing.
The current 10,000m resource program may also be expanded, with the new results feeding into a Dynasty resource update targeted for early 2027.
What’s next
Three diamond rigs are already turning, with an RC rig due in October.
At the same time, Titan is advancing the Dynasty Scoping Study for delivery in late 2026.
The headline is 33.5m @ 6.6g/t Au. The more interesting part is that Titan may have just found a new way to look at the entire system…
