Yari Resources is making a bigger play in Queensland coal.
The company has struck a deal to acquire the Arcadia Coal Project, adding a reported 282Mt JORC resource and effectively doubling its total coal inventory to over 500Mt across the Rolleston district.
The acquisition also comes with a $2.2M placement, giving Yari fresh capital to move both Arcadia and Rolleston South forward.

A district-scale position takes shape
Arcadia sits ~24km from Yari’s existing Rolleston South Project in Queensland’s Bowen Basin.
The two assets are separate, but together they give Yari a broader regional footprint in a proven coal province where scale matters.
Arcadia’s reported resource includes 164Mt indicated, and 118Mt inferred for 282Mt total.
That adds to the 222.9Mt resource already defined at Rolleston South.
The result is a much larger platform from which Yari can assess exploration, development and potential operating synergies across the district.

Low upfront cost, bigger upside
The transaction has been structured to limit the initial cash outlay.
Yari will pay $50,000 upfront and issue shares at completion, with most of the consideration linked to future resource growth, approvals, production milestones and a 1.5% gross revenue royalty.
That means the largest payments only arrive if Arcadia progresses towards commercial production.
For investors, the structure gives Yari exposure to a substantial resource without committing major capital before the project proves its value.
Arcadia brings more than tonnes
Historical work at Arcadia identified thick coal seams within the Bandanna Formation, with reported low raw ash and potential exposure to both thermal and semi-soft coking coal markets.
Those assumptions still need to be tested through updated technical, coal quality and development studies.
However the project comes with an established resource, a large geological database and tenure covering a sizeable position in the broader Rolleston district.
That gives Yari a head start compared with beginning from raw exploration ground.
Funded for the next phase
The company has secured commitments to raise $2.2M at $0.0045 per share.
Funds will support work across both Arcadia and Rolleston South, including technical reviews, exploration and general project advancement.
Completion remains subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals, with an Extraordinary General Meeting expected in September.
What’s next?
The immediate focus is approval.
Once the deal completes, Yari plans to review Arcadia’s geological and coal quality data, refine the development case and assess how the project fits into its wider Rolleston strategy.
This is no longer a single-project story.
Yari is assembling scale in one of Australia’s premier coal basins. The next step is proving how much that larger footprint is worth.
