Yugo takes the gold hunt to Cajnice

Yugo is moving from one successful drill front to the next, with Cajnice now testing gold-silver-lead mineralisation below surface...

Yugo Metals (ASX:YUG) has started drilling at its Cajnice Project in Bosnia-Herzegovina, opening a second active exploration front while work continues at the Erak gold prospect.

Four initial diamond holes for around 600m are planned across the Majdan and Pisonica prospects.

Cajnice gets its first real test

The targets come from mapping and surface sampling that returned up to 1.9g/t Au, 220g/t Ag and 13.6% Pb.

The aim now is simple, find out whether that mineralisation continues at depth.

Additional drilling will depend on what the first four holes deliver.

Erak keeps building

While Cajnice gets underway, Erak remains the more advanced story.

The first nine holes have already returned results including 36.1m @ 2.3g/t Au, 10.4m @ 2.6g/t Au and 22.4m @ 1.1g/t Au.

A second drill pad has now been built around 400m east along strike, near a previous trench result of 61m @ 1.5g/t Au.

Yugo’s current model suggests mineralisation may continue between the two drill areas.

What’s next

The immediate catalyst is Cajnice drilling.

At the same time, follow-up work at Erak will test whether the mineralised system keeps running east.

One project is already delivering, the next one is now under the drill bit.
